Ellis & Coco
Coco joined our family on November 9th. We adopted her from a family that could no longer keep her for various reasons. We wonder if it was because she ate their house and children?!? She was 14 wks. and a purebred Chocolate Lab. The 1st night we had her, she became very ill and we ended up taking her to the vet the next day fearing she contracted parvovirus which can take their life in a matter of hours. She was so sick and looked emaciated. It's funny how a dog you've had no time to attach yourself to can make you worried sick and beside yourself. Nearly 4 weeks later and the little 11 lb. sickly dog we brought home is getting quite heavy to lift (uh oh!). She drives us crazy right now with her puppy antics (and is eating our house and kids) but we adore her. The kids are having so much fun with her. Other than the occasional accident (is a few times a day occasional?) and the chewing/biting, life is good with Coco. Updated pics to follow shortly!
