It was a sad day yesterday at the Gibbons' household. Our beloved fish of 6 months, Elmo, jumped his bowl and was found laying behind it. Was he unhappy with us? Was he hoping to find a better home? Was he just swimming around and accidently flew out of the bowl? I guess we'll never know. He was found by Ellis who noticed Elmo was missing from his bowl. We're unsure how to explain this to a 2 yr old so for now Elmo is on "holiday"--possibly in Spain? Goodbye Elmo!

Darren got Elli's sandbox set up for summer today. She spent about 2 hours playing in it. I think she also brought about 1/2 the sand inside with her last night--in her pockets, diaper, etc.

We're very happy to report Leighton is doing wonderfully at home. She's a great sleeper and eater. She has to be woken up to eat during the night for most feedings after 4 hour sleeping stints (after Ellis, I think we deserve this!). Ellis has done great with her and hasn't seemed to bothered by the fact there's a new face in the house. Her nickname for Leighton is "cutie" or "baby cutie". She's been very helpful and interested in all things involving the baby. Here are a few new pics of our first days at home.
Ellis meets Leighton for the first time and gives her LOTS and LOTS of love (ie a wee bit over zealous with the kisses, tickling and such). As the NICU didn't allow children under 14, Ellis had to wait 10 days to meet her new sister for the first time.
