Summer 2009

Look how big she looks--our baby is growing up (sniff, sniff)
Me with my beloved garden, working away!

Garden hoses are so much fun!

Ready for her close-up--food covered face and all!

Signs of life!

We've had 10 yellow squash so far and another bunch on their way

I've been complaining lately that I don't have a hobby anymore, but I think this may have become one. Here are the yellow squash, zucchini, sunflowers a few strawberries (I only need to plant about 20 more plants next spring to actually produce something). We have about 80 tomatoes growing on the other side right now. Next year we need a proper fence. I was being cheap with this one in case nothing grew.

We're back again after a month long hiatus from our blog. Poor blog :( This also means lots and lots of photos to upload. Wish I could do this at work like I used to be able to. Anyway, we hope you enjoy the new pictures. The girls are having a good summer. It's been unusually cool for an Iowa summer (I think the coolest summer in history actually) but that's ok. It meant no humidity either. Tumbling class is over, we've had lots of trips to the swimming pool, a few birthday parties to attend, and some fun BBQ's with friends. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Hand-me-downs

Yum yum...yellow squash (notice pink beads for gardening duties)

Lets go check on the tomatoes, Mama!

Mmmm, delish right out of the garden. I should really try cherry and plum tomatoes.

Darren thought we had rabbits eating our tomatoes, pulling them out of the garden and dragging them around the yard. Nope, just Leight.

and this happens at every meal :(

Two little princesses in their party finest having a little tea party
(thank you Mullingar Gibbons' family for the perfect dresses!).
Getting the cupcakes just right!

Look at that mop of unruly curls

The table is set and ready to go...spot of tea?

and when Mommy wasn't looking, LJ found a couple of magic markers to chew on
(about 3 of them from the looks of her face)
