the most coveted gift at the party?!? All the kids were crazy to get a hold of it.

Well, good morning Sunshine! Not happy about being woke-upuntil I remind her it's her birthday.
"Can I open them, can I pleaseeeeeeeeee open them!???!"
The much nagged for Light-up Barbie. Her necklace, belly-button and shoes light-up.
What will they dream up next?
New Barbie doll clothes! In all honesty, I think this gift was more for me than Ellis.

whipped cream and maple syrup.
Special birthday request was to go to the park. It was an amazing
April day with the temps in the 80's. As a side note, check out Ellis' shirt--
"3's a charm." It's her birthday shirt from last year. She barely wore it (it wasn't a dress)
and on her 4th birthday she demands to wear it even though I explain it says 3 and she's 4.
Daddy came to join when he got off work.

The Easter Bunny brought a lot of new books & art supplies. Smart bunny.
The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Julie & Dale's house took place on April 2nd. The forecast for rain changed a day before the hunt. It ended up being an absolutely beautiful Saturday morning. As usual, Julie & Dale put on a wonderful egg hunt fit for the White House front lawn! Ellis was all about quantity and Leighton was really just about the chocolate. She wanted to stop and eat it as she found it (I can't say I blame her).
